Getting to Know Mrs. Moore!
Hello! My name is Caitlyn Moore, and I am so excited to start my 7th year at Bethke!
I was born in Southern California and grew up in Santa Clarita, CA. My favorite memories from growing up are playing soccer (constantly) and going to school! After high school, I attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (just like Mrs. Rossi!!!) and received a degree in Liberal Studies, which is also known as elementary school teaching. I knew from the start that I was going to love my career choice, especially after doing student teaching in 3rd and 6th grade. Prior to Bethke, I worked in education for 6 years, specifically as an elementary science curriculum specialist, 7th grade English teacher, and 5th grade teacher at Kruse Elementary. In 2019 I received my Master's Degree in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity from CU Boulder, and I am committed to fostering an equitable classroom where opportunity and achievement for is accessible for everyone.
I married my amazing husband, Corey, in June 2016, and we are loving life here in Fort Collins! As recent residents, we have been enjoying the beautiful views, hiking trails, and delicious restaurants in Old Town. When I’m not at work, I love to cook, go out to eat, and plan trips! Some of my favorite travel destinations have been Italy, Switzerland, and Portugal.
On July 29, 2019, my beautiful daughter, Kenley Rae Moore, was born. She is an absolute joy, and I love watching her grow and develop every day! We also recently welcomed our wonderful son, Landon William Moore, on November 16, 2021. We love him so much!
My goal as a teacher is to not only to help your child learn, but to make each and every child feel worthy, empowered, self-confident, and ready to tackle middle school and beyond. Teaching is my passion, and I can’t wait to learn with all of my students. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
